i stumbled across this article and i had to share.

http://www.reallove.com/about.asp

Unconditional love—true love—is so different from the kind of love most of us have known all our lives that it deserves both a name—Real Love—and definition of its own: Real Love is caring about the happiness of another person without any thought for what we might get for ourselves. It’s also Real Love when other people care about our happiness unconditionally. It is not Real Love when other people like us for doing what they want. Under those conditions we’re just paying for love again. We can be certain that we’re receiving Real Love only when we make foolish mistakes, when we fail to do what other people want, and even when we get in their way, but they don’t feel disappointed or irritated at us.

If we don’t have enough Real Love in our lives, the resulting emptiness is unbearable. We then compulsively try to fill our emptiness with whatever feels good in the moment—money, anger, sex, alcohol, drugs, violence, power, and the conditional approval of others. Anything we use as a substitute for Real Love becomes a form of Imitaton Love, and although Imitation Love feels good for a moment, it never lasts and never gives us the feeling of genuine happiness that Real Love provides.

"great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people."

"for I must be traveling on now, there's too many places I haven't seen and if I stayed here with you now, things just wouldn't be the same. well I'm as free as a bird now, and a bird you can not change."

"It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something."
-Crash

The unreal is more powerful than the real, because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. It's only tangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, and fantasies that last. Stone crumbles, wood rots, people... well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on.

Everyone hurts, everyone cries, everyone feels pain, almost every emotion is felt by every person walking this earth. Some of us just have to go through it alone, and that’s what makes us different.

"imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, & its better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring" -marilyn monroe<3"

The most important thing in life is to stop saying “I wish” and start saying “I will.” Consider nothing impossible, then treats possibilities as probabilities.”

Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts?

We did not change as we grew older.
We just became more clearly ourselves.

"To let go isn't to forget, to not think about, or to ignore. It doesn't leave feelings or anger, jealousy or regret. To let go is to cherish memories but overcome them. Letting go is having the courage to accept change, the strength to keep moving. Letting go is growing up and realizing what's real."
